Double distinction for ElvalHalcor at HRIMA 2023 Business awards
ElvalHalcor received the 1st award in the “Globalization 2023” category and the 3rd award in the “Best Company 2023” category at this year’s HRIMA 2023 Business Awards. These two significant distinctions confirm that ElvalHalcor’s leading position among companies supporting the Greek economy and excelling in the international business arena. At the awards ceremony, held on Friday, February 9th, Angelos Giazitzoglou, Finance Deputy Director of ElvalHalcor, received the 1st Award in the “Globalization 2023” category while Spyros Kokkolis, Chief Financial Officer of ElvalHalcor, received the 3rd Award in the “Best Company 2023” category.
ElvalHalcor’s double award is another recognition of the dynamic course it has developed both domestically and internationally, thanks to continuous and targeted investments in key areas such as research and development, innovation, advanced technology, infrastructure, specialisation and human resources development. The company produces innovative, sustainable aluminium and copper products and solutions, significantly contributing to the transition to a circular economy and the pursuit of a zero-carbon footprint future.
Receiving the 1st award in the “Globalization 2023” category, Mr. Giazitzoglou stated: “Our international recognition is proof that Greece has the potential to create companies capable of standing up to the major industrial powers abroad. With a dynamic presence in over ninety (90) countries worldwide and an investment plan aimed at further consolidating ElvalHalcor’s position as a leading aluminium and copper industry worldwide, challenges serve as a driving force for us.”
As Mr. Giazitzoglou stressed: “In the midst of a pandemic, international turmoil and an energy crisis accompanied by inflationary pressures, interest rate increases and a slowdown in global growth, ElvalHalcor has completed the installation of the most modern four-stand tandem hot finishing mill in Europe, a new cold cold rolling mill and a new lacquering line. In the four-year period 2020 – 2023, the company’s total investments in Greece and Europe exceeded 500 million euros”, he added, highlighting that ElvalHalcor’s competitiveness in the international field is mainly attributed to its people, to whom he dedicated the award.
