ElvalHalcor recognised as ”True Leader” for 2019 by ICAP Group
ElvalHalcor was recognised for another consecutive year as a “True Leader”, in the framework of this established ICAP event. This year, according to ICAP’s standards for inclusion in the True Leaders of Greece ranking, out of a total of 31,000 companies in Greece, ElvalHalcor and 86 more companies succeeded in achieving the distinction as leaders of the Greek economy – ”True Leaders”. The “True Leader” event, recognizes and awards those companies and groups which combine four objective and measurable criteria, i.e. solid financial results, investment in human resources, leading position in the relevant business sector and a high credit rating.
ElvalHalcor joins the group of companies included in “The Most Sustainable Companies in Greece 2020”
For the 4th consecutive year, ΕlvalHalcor joins “The Most Sustainable Companies in Greece”. Together with 24 other companies, ElvalHalcor was evaluated, based on its performance in the “Sustainability Performance Directory” and ranked in “The Most Sustainable Companies in Greece” group of companies for the year 2020. The 25, in total, companies which make up “The Most Sustainable Companies in Greece” for 2020, received their distinction at the annual event that is part of the “Sustainable Greece 2020” initiative which was held on Monday, December 7, hosted by the QualityNet Foundation. These 25 companies have adopted a holistic approach to Sustainability issues, operate as examples of good business practice and play an important role in shaping a new growth model that is directly related to Greek companies’ competitiveness and in terms of attracting investments.
Elval is the first Greek manufacturer to certify its casthouse, rolling, coil coating and finishing operations to the Aluminium Stewardship Initiative (ASI) Performance Standard
Elval, aluminium rolling division of ElvalHalcor announces the certification of its production facilities at Oinofyta, Greece to the ASI Performance Standard. The certification audit was conducted by DNV GL and it covered all the policies, procedures, infrastructure and practices that are in place against the criteria of the standard.

This new strategic investment of ELVAL (the aluminum rolling division of ELVALHALCOR) in the most modern hot rolling mechanical equipment in the world today, places the Greek aluminum industry at the very forefront of the industry globally.
The MICHAEL N. STASSINOPOULOS – VIOHALCO PUBLIC BENEFIT FOUNDATION is donating EUR 650,000 for hospital equipment and disposable medical products and consumables to deal with the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic
This amount, collected from VIOHALCO’s subsidiaries, represents the first part of theFoundation’s contribution towards the fight against COVID-19.This decision of the Board of Directors of the MICHAEL N. STASSINOPOULOS – VIOHALCOPUBLIC BENEFIT FOUNDATION was made after consultation with the competent authorities,in order to strengthen and support the Greek National Health System and cover specificneeds.VIOHALCO’S subsidiaries contributed to the donation of EUR 650,000 with the followingamounts: ELVALHALCOR S.A. EUR 400,000, HELLENIC CABLES S.A. EUR 160,000 and CORINTHPIPEWORKS S.A. EUR 90,000.Through this donation, the Foundation is expressing its desire to stand by the patients,doctors, nurses and general staff of our country’s hospitals who are all being greatly testedduring this difficult period we are going through.

HALCOR has already initiated a Covid-19 Protocol that prevents any disruption in our manufacturing process by taking the following measures:Ordering raw materials with a long term stock coverage thus, stabilizing our production.Cooperating closely with our suppliers thus, enabling flexibility on the fluctuations of demand. This action in combination with the already long-lasting and established relationship with our key suppliers has offered us the possibility of an uninterrupted supply chain till now.Maintaining transparency and traceability of our supply chain and enabling alternate sourcing in order to cover possible delays or shortages.
Main Actions regarding the Covid-19
As a responsible manufacturer, HALCOR always operates according to the highest Health and Safety standards.Due to the increase of public health concerns over the globally spreading SARS-CoV-2 virus and COVID-19 disease, also known as Coronavirus, HALCOR acted immediately and developed a Covid-19 Protocol and activated the Crisis Management Team to monitor its implementation. The Protocol includes detailed guidelines to effectively manage each potential case of infection, authorizations & prohibitions and regulated accesses. Main actions are the following: ? All employees, suppliers and everyone entering HALCOR’s premises are scanned with a thermometer at the entrance and proceeds according to the detailed guidance of the Protocol. Sanitizing alcoholic hand gel is placed at the entrance for obligatory usage, whereas others are placed to every working station. Medical protective masks and gloves are provided.

It was the first time that three Greek companies, ElvalHalcor, Epexyl and Raycap, participatedat the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) European Career Fair in Boston, from the21st to the 24th of February.The Hellenic Students’ Association of MIT initiative, actively supported by SEV (Hellenic Federation of Enterprises), Ministry of Education and Greek Consulate General in Boston, mainly aimed at the interconnection of Greek enterprises with some of the world’s most brilliant minds, as well as with young, highly skilled professionals with deep expertise.
